If you can only connect to some realms and not others, then you have an IP restriction from that realm.

You or someone sharing your IP address did something to cause this restriction and the system detects it automatically.

There are two kinds:

1.) Temporary - Lasts up to 12 hours, usually caused by doing too many actions in a short period of time (in-game D2 actions, leaving/entering games too fast, etc.)

2.) Extended - Lasts exactly 2 weeks. With very few exceptions, this is caused by attempting to connect to Battle.net with an illegal CD-key (torrented, keygenned, 3rd party site, etc.)

In either instance, all you can do is wait it out.

P.S. Judging by your description of being unable to connect for 3+ days, it sounds like you have the extended IP ban

Also, if you keep trying to reconnect, you could be reseting the 12 hour counter!
