Totally agree with you, long ladders are no fun as people quit and play other games shortly after the first page is filled with 99's.
The best challenge is staying in the top 16 on a reset as bots are not running for first bit which makes extremely fun and the competition is great .
I just returned to d2 in anticipation of reset on the 28th of September. if the reset is not announced then i guess i will return to playing guild wars.
