I am equally frustrated by it. But removing some of the most enjoyable things to obtain is not the answer.
It seems a pretty easy answer, actually. And I could care less about obtaining Enigma or Infinity for myself. Honestly, look at the Runewords page on the Arreat Summit. There are tons of cool combinations. You're not willing to lose two so that we can have a clean economy?
Q u o t e: I'm 25 and engaged to be married. Nice try, friend. Next time don't try and bring personal matters into a discussion about game balance.
I'm surprised. The way you were throwing "idiot" and "retard" at people just for disagreeing with you, I put you at around 15.
Q u o t e: As far as I'm aware, D2JSP is a website that uses an alternate currency method to trade for items, yes? I don't see a problem with that. I do see a problem with botting though, and maybe these people do it. It's very likely.
It's a site where you can buy currency (rather cheaply) and then "trade" that for items. Not that different from an item store, honestly. And D2JSP itself is the javascript parser that birthed bots. Any site associated with that needs to burn.
Q u o t e: I don't know what [CAPTCHA] is.
You use one every time you post on these forums. It's a quick test to see whether you're a human or a bot. While the "type letters in the box" ones are supposedly defeatable now, there are other kinds--such as quick multiple choice questions. Blizzard definitely has the expertise to implement an effective CAPTCHA, but it's an effort programming-wise, doubt they would do it.
Q u o t e: How the hell am I abusing an item by using it in it's intended fashion? I don't cheat or exploit anything. I'm starting out this ladder with a Fire Sorc with a blank piece of armor with 4 perfect topaz gems socketed into it. I'll find some uniques and trade for other stuff. I'll build my way up until I've got a decked out Paladin and will start doing Baal mf runs.
I mean "abuse" in the gamer sense--relying on something that's overpowered rather than looking for other solutions, even though said thing is perfectly legal.
Q u o t e: I think maybe you're just angry at how much work it takes to legitimately obtain these top end runewords, else why would you label using them as abusing them?
Well, I think they're a bit cheesy, but my aim is not to deprive YOU of them. My agenda, as it's always been if you follow these forums, is to remove bots from Battle.net. This is just another approach somebody brought up that would be very effective. It's not about to happen. For one thing, Blizzard would have to acknowledge bots' existence, something they've never done. Your runewords aren't going anywhere. Relax. But neither, it would seem, are the bots.
