I agree. I understand the mechanics of the little "Anti-bot" or "anti-favorable actions" program. I also have no issue with it. The only thing i wish is that there was a way to go and get yourself un-temp banned if you are a legitimate player. Me and my brother happen to play on the same IP which makes this temp ban even more unavoidable, especially since we are fast players: getting a character rushed, baaling/chaosing at a quick rate, and joing games at a faster pace. Since there are two of us, our limit before we hit "unfavorable actions" is twice as low.
I wish that there was simply a way for once the temporary ban is initiated, that we can come to the blizzard site and somehow "Unban" ourselves. I Know this creates a bunch of issues regarding all the actual hackers on diablo 2, but perhaps this could work somehow? Having like a question related captcha that requires a typed in answer to prove that we are human? (I've seen it work on other sites)
Or maybe talking to an administrator or someone with enough power to get a temporary ban lifted. LIke i said, I do like the intentions of the program, unfortunately bot's are programmed to get around those issues, and i know there is a list of things NOT to do, and to avoid these bans, but if things do manage to happen, i dont want to get temp banned again, (For the third time this go around) and end up being on a permanently banned list. (Like it seems my useast account is, for NO reason at all).
This brings me to my second problem. I dont mean to threadjack. However, my USEast diablo 2 account, and IP actually has been banned. This is an issue because in no way, shape, or form did i break the ToA. Not only this, but there was NO reason given. Is there anyway i can at least pursue this issue and get a reason as to why my IP was banned from USEast?
