Q u o t e:
muhahaha that doesn't change a single thing....

There is something NOT right here, and it seems that you are the only one who tries to ignore that.

By now I cannot even create games anymore, every second game is a joinbug. And I can do WHATEVER I want, this happens all the time.

Blizzard fix this!
So, let me get this straight. You were able to conclude that because I suggested you do something am the ONLY one ignoring something bigger? LOL, great deductive reasoning…I mean assumption…I mean imprudent skills you have. This is not much of an incentive to help further if you aim to insult after an attempt did not work.

The suggestion provided (deleting temp folders – for certain programs, some malware and even third party programs is a base for storing files that don’t always delete and sometimes conflict with certain aspects of other programs), as that solved some repeated Failed to Join in the past (particularly for trying to create games), since I could not address/research it at the time and knew it would be some time until I could get back on. Different proposals (when limited information is known) are tried to find a working solution. Failed solutions can tell something, it just may not be known as to what until after it fails.

It was only after an hour or so when I had logged off, I realized another solution (outside of uninstalling/reinstalling) could simply be deleting your Battle.net cache file, known as the bncache.dat found in your Diablo II folder (which was confirmed in Tech Support) given how many are experiencing it (since I doubt all of you used/using third party materials or have malicious files stored). Please give a few minutes BEFORE logging back on when deleting the bncache.dat. Thanks Sothasil for getting that cache suggestion up there since I was unable to post until now.

Another thing to consider in the above step is deleting the realm folder(s) in your Diablo II Save Folder (USEast, USWest, Asia, Europe). No, this will not delete your online characters as they are saved on the server (not your computer), and once you log on with the appropriate account they will reappear in the Diablo II Save Folder.

edit: There could be a serverside problem, which Blizzard has acknowledged on the Techincal Support Forum. Bob_the_evil also mentioned the World Event contributing to these drops.

In the future, providing more information will allow others to better help address the problem, and can even help Blizzard fix the problem (if on their end). Document other things or trying other things can tell something; even though many of you are experiencing the same message, could be experiencing something very different. So, consider:

General time frame and realm this occurred
Did a game interrupt out before this began
Coming off any kind of restriction or was unable to connect prior
Can create a game or create a password game
Can join a game or join password game
Tried exiting Diablo II and then restarting
Restarting your computer or unplugged your Ethernet/modem cable / plugging it back in, or turning off the modem and switching it back on
If wireless, what about if directly plugged in to the modem
Download anything strange or visit any strange sites (from email or directly accessing)
Recently installed anything that requires online (like continuous or daily updating) connectivity
Etc...
