  • 0. Spambots have destroyed D2LoD   01/06/2010 02:57:49 AM PST
I stopped playing D2Lod in September of 2007 after visiting battlenet nearly every day for around 6 years... Some would argue that I've gotten more than my fair share of game play for the $100 I've spent purchasing D2 and its expansion and then later the Diablo battle chest after my cdrom chewed up my original LoD disc...I totally agree that Blizzard made a truly addicting game and they deserve all their millions and more, but after returning to battlenet and creating a few new characters, it became apparent from the first day of my return that things have changed... My god have they ever changed...Cooperative play, while not impossible, has certainly become quite annoying and difficult. The spambots and their owners have ruined D2 and as near as I can tell, Blizzard doesn't care even a tiny bit. I honestly have no clue why they bothered making v1.12, let alone this upcoming 1.13 patch if they can't or won't take the time to ban these spammers... I know D3 is supposedly on it's way, but D2LoD is still retailing for $40 (battlechest at Walmart). Make these spammers pay for what they have done at the very least, by banning their accounts and cdkeys. Send them to Walmart to purchase new cdkeys. One Blizzard employee simply spending 8 hours a day playing on battlenet could make thousands of dollars a day by simply banning cdkeys and making these online item stores pay for the privilege of ruining D2... Above all Blizzard, prove to your loyal fanbase that you still care about us. We are the one who will be ordering and playing D3 when it comes out. Please remember that much at least...
