Work never stopped on the D2 patch you retarded pile of monkey balls, they have their OWN SEPERATE d2 patch team working on the patch from everything else.

Actually I believe the "higher prioirty" issues was the issue they had with the map editor in the Warcraft patch that they put in. There was a major exploit that allowed players to upload viruses into the maps, so therefore, they had to put the patch on hold in order to put everyone on this issue (this is what I heard, just passing along). Because I am sure that if you download a patch from blizzard and starting playing on b.net and received a virus, I dont think that you would be too happy with them, dont you think?
There is a legacy team that works soley on D2, SC, and Warcraft, totally seperate from the D3 and SC2 teams. So, when the issue with Warcraft arose, patch work for D2 was suspended; according Bashoik, that issue was taken care of and now the work with the D2 patch "continues and it is nearing." Of course, that was a few weeks ago, so Im sure we are only months/years away from release! HA!
