Maybe if they were such great friendships, then you should have gotten all their phone #'s, or MySpaces, or Facebooks, or created your own "team forum" where you could keep in contact outside the game.

If they were strictly in-game friendships, then I guess you didn't lose all that much.

Show some responsibility, sheesh.
