So, I once suggested Inferno as a difficulty about a month after Diablo3 was announced.. (Ooph, a long time ago..) and I was told you guys wanted a more elegant solution, which is cool.

I am just now seeing that it was added since.. well.. I havn't followed Diablo3 for a second since that whole fiasco some time ago with what ever announcement that was..
I wish I still had the original thread but I asked to be post wiped.. eh.

Anywho.
Why not add the second part to that idea?

(Obviously this would not make it anytime soon before release)

Basically, I suggested that one random unique monster in the game would be "Infused with demonic energy" and become the strongest monster in that game during Inferno Difficultys. (Note, these would only be monsters who spawn every game like Rakanishu or Pindleskin)
He would gain several random unlabeled attributes and gain basic stat boosts across everything else.
He would be hard enough that a group would be required to kill him, have the best chance to drop good equipment and would go a long way to keep end game being different each time you join a game.
People would not be farming the same thing over and over, they would be running around to where ever they knew this monster spawned at.

Diablo2 as an example
You would join an Inferno game and get a message "Rakanishu has been infused with demonic energy." Upon finding him, you would immediately see that he was far larger than he normally was.. When you attack him, you notice he also has stone skin now, doppleganger and teleports. Each of these were randomly added to him along with the bonuses he already had. This would make every single fight different and you never know what to expect.
