Bashiok is twisting our brains several times throughout the post, but in the end it doesn't matter what he says. Don't let him confuse you ;)
Items are worth what the community thinks they're worth. In-game items have always proven less valued than real life things like computer hardware, for one.
I just can't stop admiring how smoothly he goes on about things that are to be percieved from personal point of view to public without any clarification. A real community manager, makes people buy games they don't even want.
