Q u o t e: My point is that you're complaining about old stuff from D2 that D3 doesn't have, before experiencing all that D3 has to offer.
Maybe once you get to Hell/Inferno you'll be glad they removed FHR and FBR, cause the Champion packs will have really fun/hard abilities to challenge you, like that Waller monster.
So you're saying i should play through the entire game twice (norm, nm) before i should expect anything challenging in the game? that sounds a bit silly to me. And no, liking me to a youtube video of one unique monster creating walls doesn't make the game seem more challenging. To be honest, it makes it look quite easy. Look at how hes not even fighting back and takes very little damage.
Q u o t e:
Wow... I don't know where to begin. Every one posting besides the op has no clue on fhr, fbr, frw, and other bp tables. Johnor.. I expect those kind of statements to come from the new forums. Honestly nothing you said has an ounce of truth.
Thank you
Q u o t e: One simple question.
Do you think you've experienced even 1/4 of all monster abilities after completing the first third of Act 1, on Normal difficulty?
Some gimmicky moster "abilities" like creating a wall or anything of the sort is no replacement for FHR and FBR.
hit recovery is amazing because it's a mechanic the makes the game more difficult wherever you go. Most people in this thread would have me wait till inferno mode before i find something challenging. Honestly, i want the game to be hard to play on normal mode. I dont want to beat it 3 times before i have anything that can kill me. Hit recovery would solve all of that because its a core gameplay mechanic and not some silly ability that i wont run into very often at all. Hit recovery also makes it so i cant attack during that time period. It's honestly probably one of the biggest things missing from diablo 3.
Q u o t e: Don't take this the wrong way, I'm genuinely curious: why would the stat-based approach of FHR - and other such mods - be better than the ability-based approach? They really do accomplish the same thing, just in different ways.
Not taking offense, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
hit recovery makes the game more diffcult ALL the time, and not just when i find some silly monster that makes a wall around me that i might find once in hell/infero.
Also, as stated earlier Thexelnaga (thank you :D) breakpoint tables such as FHR, and FBR (i think FCR is in there, if im not mistaken) add much more debth to your character design. I've had occurances where it went into how i build my character. for example, do i put a perfect facet in my helm for damage/-res, or a shael rune to hit that FHR breakpoint?
It makes building your items more interesting and adds more customizaton to the game.
