Not sure if i'd call it the "winning side" it's a discussion about a core feature that was mistakenly removed from D3, the only thing that can be countered with that is hoping that BE has added in other features that can rival it. As of now we have no way of knowing, for only 1/3 of Act 1 is shown to us, and the majority of affixes on gear and monsters haven't been revealed to the public.
