You missed the point yet again. What you don't "get to dismiss" is based on logic, not decided by anyone.
To quote the 2D nature of the previous games D1 and D2 is completely nonsensical - there was no 3D in those days, they didn't make a design decision to ignore it! ffs that's obvious to a retarded ant.
The fact that 3D is now the norm and has clear advantages are why it doesn't make sense to make a game that is effectively 2D. The competition (Path of Exile, Tera etc) will be 3D so D3 will be at a clear disadvantage in that sense.
Claiming that they would be "developing something that nobody will use" is more nonsense. You don't USE 3D.... you enjoy the benefits of it passively.
All of this is clear as day. you can wriggle and squirm as much as you like, it won't alter it one iota.
Talking to people of low intellect is a waste of my time. And discussion in a forum of a game I probably won't buy is also a waste. Bye. Have fun in your 2D world.
I got tired of typing endless captchas anyway.
1 - There was 3D many YEARS before D2. And I'm not talking about a few rare games, I'm talking about a LOT of games!
2 - WTF, how is Path of Exile more 3D than D3, are you insane!?!
3 - You're another one of those that thinks: "3D is the way to go, because it's cool and everyone uses it". Well you added the argument that it's "better", but it's a lie. It's not better per se. It has advantages, but it is not better in an absolute way, it depends on the gameplay style and what it tries to accomplish. Some games are better suited for 3D, some aren't. 3D is not a panacea that you should apply in every formula indepent of context, if you think so you're a fool.
It seems clear to me that you have no idea what are the advantages of using 3D. Yes, there are advantages, but you don't know what they are, for you the formula is: "It has to be 3D", which is completely ridiculous. I've seen dozens of games going from 2D to 3D, and failing miserably because those games weren't suited for 3D gameplay. This phenomenon was more prominent in the late 90's (maybe after Quake 1) when there was this sort of "3D Revolution" and companies, like you, thought everything should be converted to 3D... They were wrong!
