Um... WASD movement is completely viable in competitive games. It allows you to do a number of things that are extremely difficult, if not impossible, with a point-click system. (e.g. firing a spell in the opposite direction that you're moving-- with point-click, this requires really awkward, fast stutter-stepping, and is generally only viable with skills that you don't target, like Blessed Hammer).

Besides, if they're doing a console version, how is WASD any different from using a thumbstick? There is no problem between WASD and isometric perspectives. A lot of games use both, including some games similar to Diablo, like Deathspank and Bloodline Champions.

However, as others have stated, it's been made clear that they won't be including WASD, which is a real shame in my opinion. Bashiok even joked about it…
