Q u o t e:

Consider how terrible D2's trading system is. If you want a specific item you need to spam a trade channel (while not being able to play the game) or join a trade game hoping someone will come by with what you want. If by chance someone comes along with the exact item/stats you're looking for you can only get it from them if you happen to have something of equal value that they also need. Makes things a real pain. You could do this for hours. Or you could just hop on 3rd party site. Now isn't it possible that some of these item buyers would be less compelled to break the TOS if trading wasn't so painfull, if something like a gold AH existed? Of course there will always be those who still buy items but I can deal with a small percent doing it. I'll take that over the majority any day.

I really enjoyed D2's trading system ... it was an interesting alternative to doing nothing but placing an item on a AH at 1 copper cheaper than all the others...

Part of the fun was knowing which items were worth something..which you OBVIOUSLY never bothered to learn. I am 100% positive you went into trading games with crap items thinking you were bad ass only to be laughed at and ridiculed when you tried to trade.

And I feel for ya. I know that sucks...we've all been there. Difference is, I took the time to learn the trading game, and found something very fun and unique. I understand the majority of gamers are lazy good for nothing slackers that want everything handed to them, but just because something is easy, doesn't mean its the best way.
