Q u o t e: Diablofanboy, has Grinding Gear Games made any other games? A developer can go on and on about great features in their game, but it doesn't mean much if they don't have the experience to pull it off.
PoE lets any class use any skill, right? D1 had a similar system, but D2 didn't. Why do you think it wasn't in D2? D2 even let all classes have a few skills like teleport and BO, but most players agree that was a bad thing. Why do you think that kind of system hasn't been in any recent multiplayer RPG? Sure, it offers more variety, but it kills class distinction. Playing a class should mean more than having different stats.
Sure, I guess it's possible the developers could make this system work despite it failing in multiple games. But until they actually prove that it works and improves the game, I'm going to stick with D3.
Ummm Rift?
I was pretty certain it allows you to pull from the entire pool of skills, as long as you had the specific soul.
