You'd be facing other problems, for example people who trade accounts with good items they picked up. That would mean intelligent botting and more problems in future.
All in all I accept current position of Blizzard, all pro the gold ah and neutral to rmah. But I still have problem with other core features which regrettably I cannot influence.
