See, in a party, difficulty is raised. And if I try to "measure" my strength by killing enemies alone, there will be countless deaths. But if the other 3 guys are really more powerful than my char of my current strategy, I will not know, because they will kill crap right away.
Tsuihousha, nobody likes a smartass.
Name calling. Very mature counter argument.
The reason you seem to want a damage meter, to make sure you aren't doing nothing, makes no sense because it is an easy assessment to make without any sort of numerical information at all.
If three people are running around each blasting monsters into nothing and you're doing nothing you're doing nothing. If you're eating monsters for breakfast like Cheerios then you're doing what you need to.
It seems like you're in the mindset that every one will be right at the exact same spot killing the exact same monster at the same time and it will take a long time which is just not the case in an A-RPG.
This isn't WoW; This isn't Aion; This isn't RIFT. No one gets to stand around mashing their buttons in a sequence to maximize damage output. In A-RPGS you make tactical decisions about where, when and how to fight and prioritize targets as you have to maneuver from projectiles and ensure you have an escape route if necessary as you move about the battlefield.
