Q u o t e: I kinda do expect them to keep the game updated if they are going to continue selling it.
So does that go for Diablo 1 too then? Warcraft 2? They still sell these games and keeping bnet running for them. What makes you think that just because a game is being sold/able to be played online that the developer is expected to support the product? Do you really want me to list the hundreds upon thousands of games I can buy that aren't being supported anymore? Your expectations are unrealistic dude although I understand your disappointment :(
Q u o t e: This is a 'one-shot' wonder, and suffers from the exact same problems as the original.
Except it's a decade later and I'm pretty sure their ability to make a game secure is has improved. First of all I doubt they'll include incredibly game breaking gear like runewords, and second of all I'm sure they'll either prevent duping this time around or at least create the loot system so it can be purged of duplicates automatically (ie something they can keep running for more than a decade to combat dupes).
Hacks, well we'll see, but bots are going to be around in D3. Bot's are something you're just going to have to either accept as a reality because Blizzard can't prevent them and once they stop supporting D3 in (what 3? 5? 10 years?) bots will be running D3 so you better accept that now :p
