Thats a huge mistake though, both the attack itself & the understanding of attack rating was actual skill in Diablo 2.
Diablo 3 people have just removed the attack rating mechanic, this looks like stripping out of Diablo 2 mechanics seem to be a trend.
i don't really think i'd call knowing that one number is higher than another "skill."
it wouldn't be hitting buttons in a certain order, that was not what i was referring to. i am talking about you being surrounded by several different monster types, all of them having strengths and weaknesses that make you prioritize them in different ways and then you using your abilities to take them down effectively. that offers a much higher skill cap than diablo 2 ever did.
