Plus do you really need a whole seperate game mechanic just to get some extra effects when you use certain abilities?

I also think a seperate way you could get the passives is from the mystic, That would make it more of a gold sink though. They hinted at being able to enchant items from the mystic, maybe you can enchant yourself too?
i bet that is how the mystic is going to work, definetly gonna go him first i like making my weps shiny above all else.
how shall i kill you...will i devour your body whole with locusts? burn you alive with skull of flame? or will i just harvest your soul...
