If you have a shared stash it would make leveling 2 or 3 characters up at the same time too easy and convenient. For example I am playing my Barb and after a while I find a very nice weapon, at the end of my playing time I stick it in the shared stash, next time I load up my witch doctor who is a few levels behind and pick up the same weapon out of the stash and when I finish bung it back in the stash.

At least with the other method it was too much of a pain to bother muling an item to another character each time.

I feel that with a shared stash you would have one set of good equipment that every character would use rather than having each character with there own equipment, until you get to the really high levels and it starts to bind on you.
