I am just talking about the goodie bag dude, not tournament winnings or anything. I want the artwork and exclusive toys and such. I just have no way of getting to the west coast on our budget.
They don't need the goodie bag to be exclusive to sell the tickets out. Trust me on that one. The tickets are sold out whether or not they even give that goodie bag.
You were trying to make the point that they could make money selling the goodie bag, they don't care about breaking even on Blizzcon so it's not a great argument to get them to do what you want. Appeal to the fact that it would increase brand loyalty etc etc. Now that's more of a convincing argument to get it done.
In addition the exclusivity is not to sell out tickets, the name Blizzard guarantees the selling of the tickets. Yet again you miss the point of this being a prestige event, reward the lucky few with prime time access and they will spread that enthusiasm back to everyone they come in contact with. The people who don't make it in will strive that much harder to get their time at the big dance. It's about generating that rabid interest that keeps people coming back again and again to your products.
