  • 2. Re: WoW terms & Diablo classes.   01/29/2010 11:06:45 AM PST

Q u o t e:
I know I haven't posted on these forums long but I've been reading quite a bit and I can't help but notice that WoW terms get brought up by some people to talk about Diablo classes.

As far as I am aware all classes in Diablo games are all about mass killing just in different forms. So there is no "tank", definitely no "healer" and yes there is "dps" obviously. But to say "this is a dps class" would imply that some of the others do not fit into that category wouldn't it?

I'm curious, do you think maybe WoW and the WoW party sets ups have messed with people heads when thinking of the roles that Diablo classes play? Or is it just that the people that haven't played a Diablo game before are coming from WoW and not fully understanding how the games are different?

Everyone on this forum needs a cd key to post here, so most that post here use the Diablo 2 CD key. Everyone understands what Diablo is, and you can't post here if you only have a WoW account. Warcraft 3, Starcraft, D2. It's kind of pointless to say dps class, when people could just say class. It's like in Diablo every class is a dps class, just as the sky is blue, just as a Nintendo console has Mario games. Also birds can fly.
