Yes, why allow them to research the almost infinite information on the internet when they could spend countless hours wasting time in the library.
LOL, why? Just because you had to do it and you want revenge?
Thus exemplifying the problem with people. Mystic, students need to learn how to find print sources as it could pertain to their life later. If any of my students go to college, odds are it will pertain directly to their lives. To say I do it out of spite shows shortsightedness as well as some idea that all the answers to everything are on the web. My job is to prepare both: the students who are college bound, and the students who will enter the workforce out of high school. Just because people hate doing something doesn't make it pointless.
However, I do find it interesting that based off of a couple of posts people start making assumptions about others and act as though they have known the person they talk to all their lives. I don't know you mystic, but I feel your post was not viewing the situation from all angles. I do find it to be a constant problem that other people do not make an effort to see problems/situations from every possible angle they can think of and just stick with what they want because it helps them the most.
The final comment pertains directly to many posts on any forum. This includes the D3 forums.
Odds are you will take this as me talking down to you and not try to get anything out of this other than, "That guy's an idiot, and I know I am right because that's what I think." That's fine, I would probably be annoyed to read a post like this myself, but that doesn't mean I won't look for something to get out of it that may benefit future conversations.
Also I love the posts on here that think I hate the colors, but yeah just go with that. It will probably end up be more entertaining anyway.
PS Bashiok why haven't you deleted this thread yet?!
