Diablo is a game you can play for as long as you want perfecting characters and accumulating items. In D2 I don't know of anyone who still plays to try and get to Baal in Hell Diff. It is all about PVP and PK'ing. So with that being said, why is PK'ing so nerfed that people are resorting to hacks.
While dueling is one thing and is fine, PK'ing is an added aspect to the game that always kept the game edgier, whether you were in a regular game trying to complete quests or the one doing the PK'ing. However now that there is a 10 second delay at waypoints, there is a huge influx of people looking for these TPPK hacks and being totally illegitimate with the way they kill people. At least when you could use a WP to attack people, they could fight back, and I have killed other people trying to PK me before, which made the game interesting. Now it seems you get attacked and die instantly while the attacking party resides safely in town and of course there is nothing you can do.
I feel as though it was a strategic move which went sour on the part of the game developers and the fairest point of Diablo's PVP was in the beginnings, before the patches which tried to protect players. It has only made things worse. I suggest you go back to the old ways before people used hacks to PK, and I wouldn't look at trying to make the game anti PK.
It simply isn't fun to kill monsters for as long as Diablo 2 has been out, and dueling has it's place, but in this game PK'ing always has as well. Don't ever try to subside human nature in the game, it has never and will never work. You make a game that coincides with the harsh nature of human's. Don't try to change people. This is supposed to be a release from your daily work, and sometimes when you get home, all you want to do is kill someone, hopefully figuratively in the game.
Please don't take that away. You've already made things bad enough.
