I'm not trying to flame, but doesn't a guild need a theme? Like "Griefers R Us", "SC Ladder Climbing" or "Co-op Hardcore"? What value would there be in a guild that tries to be all things to all people?

To me, a guild is a group of like-minded gamers, but without a theme (..."Elite" isn't a theme...) it would just be an arbitrary grouping...

Sounds more like the OP is trying to build a community site, not a guild. (There's nothing wrong with that... I'm just wondering why call it a "guild" at all?).
