Q u o t e:

What qualifies you to decide what a summoner class should be like?

I never "decided" what a summoner should be, it's just what they are. It's like saying a melee class uses melee attacks as it's primary, mages use spells as there primary attack, and an office worker works in an office. Therefore summoners use summons as their primary attack - otherwise, they would be called something else, wouldn't they?? I'm pretty sure it was "decided" a long time ago, around the time humans started to communicate to each other in a more sophisticated way.

Q u o t e:
The WD isn't like the druid or the necro because he can enhance his summons and explode them, which makes summoning a lot cooler. If a summoner could beat the game or even general encounters by only summoning minions and letting them do all the work, it would be too easy and boring.

It may be boring for you, but don't assume others share your opinions. Either way, I never said that the minion would do all the work, I just said the minion is the summoners primary skill and "main" form of attack. Don't mistake me for saying "a summoner can only summon and do nothing else!"
I don't want pets, I want minions.
I'm a summoner not a farmer.

"pet" makes it sound like I'm summoning a unicorn or a carebear.
