Although I am split between Wizard and Barbarian, I'll probably play barbarian first. Melee classes always seemed safe to me, a good starter character.

I like the WD too, but I think it would be better for me to play around with the barb first and get used to the game, then move on to other characters.

Let x = 1. Then x² = x. So x² - 1 = x -1. Dividing both sides by x -1, we conclude that x + 1 = 1; that is, since x = 1, 2 = 1.
