Q u o t e:
Diablo2 already had crippling features, although they weren't specifically called that.
Necro curses ring a bell? Those are the equivalent of mob cripples, seeing as how you could slow, weaken, blind... an enemy

Yea just a weak update to elements that are already in D2 won't be hard , it won't be very entertaining either...

The whole point of this post is for discussion of a NEW weapon enhancement, not Necro curses. Necro curses don't even use the same operating mechanics, using this idea you would be able to right-click and "cast" cripple on a boss (or enemy) limb. It would be a % chance to break freaking bones in the enemy and seriosly hamper the ability of the enemy. EXAMPLE: A Khazra (shaman/mage) takes one of these blows that cripples an arm and it can no longer lift both arms to cast spells, therefore effectively making that enemy MUCH easier to handle.

Q u o t e:
for bosses, we had things such a prevent monster heal and open wounds (although they were useless imo)
so just keeping those, making them slightly more available to the masses, and buffing the open wounds, it doesnt seem like this is that hard

Prevent monster heal useless? Scoff...
I have white tile in my house... But... It's not white... Anddddddd... It's not tile.
